What does Gold-Filled mean? Gold filled jewelry contains 1/20th

(5%) of real gold  content, or more than 100x real gold content that most gold plated jewelry.  The process to make gold-filled jewelry includes pressure heat-bonding the gold to underlying base metal.  It does not fade or rub off, and is water friendly.  A great alternative to solid gold.  For longevity, it is still important to avoid chemicals and jewelry cleaners, etc.  To clean, rinse with water and dry with soft polishing cloth.
